What is Grasp? Grasp (The Groningen Association for PhD students) stands up for the rights and interests of all PhD students at the University of Groningen. If you have questions or problems concerning your PhD or if you want to get in touch with other PhD students, Grasp is the place to be. For only 10 Euro you can become a member for the entire duration of your PhD. By becoming a member you do not only support the work of Grasp, but you can also participate in our various activities, and receive up-to-date information from our electronic newsletters or from our magazine the Graspoll. Representing your interests In order to represent the interests of PhD students as good as possible, the Grasp board consists of PhD students from different countries and different faculties. Further, Grasp! is in regular contact with the University board, the University office, and the University council. Moreover, Grasp! collaborates with the two nationwide organisations PNN (Promovendi Netwerk Nederland / Dutch PhD network) and the ABVAKABO (Dutch labour union). Grasp - Active in the full range In order to make everything connected to your PhD project run as smooth as possible, Grasp! organises the "printer fair", the" information evening" and the "PhD student and supervisor survey". Besides that we also organise social events namely the monthly borrel (drinks), and other occasional events such as mud walking, ice skating and others. You can check out what we have already done in Event Reports. |
