On Saturday, the 12th of December GRASP is proud to offers you the chance to day-trip to the German Christmas Market of Oldenburg. Christmas markets - for those who don't know - are a beloved tradition in Germany, and attract thousands of tourists every year.The Oldenburger "Lambertimarkt" is centrally located, and placed around the Lamberti Church and in front of Oldenburg Castle. It has more than 125 huts, selling all sorts of arts and crafts, toys and christmas decorations, and so offers you the perfect opportunity to get some unique presents for your loved ones! However, Germans do not love their Christmas markets solely for the shopping opportunity. A steaming hot mug of the infamous "Glühwein" or "Feuerzangenbowle", and a traditional German "Bratwurst" also play a part! There's nothing better during a cold day outside... So put on some warm cloths, buy a ticket and experience the Christmas feeling in Germany this December with Grasp! We'll take the Public Express at 09:45 (meeting at the bus stop in front of Groningen's Centraal Station at 09:30) to Oldenburg Pferdemarkt. There we'll spend the day at the Christmas market, and will return with the Public Express leaving from Pferdemarkt at 18:20 (arrival at Groningen Centraal Station at 20:00). The Public Express tickets costs EUR 24 both ways and can be purchased in advance at VVV (at the Grote Markt) or online (www.publicexpress.de). We strongly recommend to do so: Buying a ticket in the bus at departure costs three times as much!
