Postdoc Career Development Initiative -

PCDI is a non-commercial organisation that aims to improve awareness of career planning and opportunities among early career researchers. Our activities are endorsed by NWO and KNAW, you may have already heard from PCDI as we received fair amount of media attention lately, including Volkskrant Banen and the Association of Universities the Netherlands (VSNU).

PCDI organizes career orientation and career development events throughout the country for postdocs (as our name implies) but also final year PhD students in the Life Sciences. This includes company visits for career orientation and an annual 3-day retreat. Even though we have a blogger from Groningen, writing about her career development, our impression is that PCDI is still relatively unknown in Groningen.
